Fine Print Guard

Show visitors your terms are fair

Fine Print Guard is a free Chrome ad blocker that also reads each site's terms of service and privacy policy and grades them A to F. If your site gets an A or a B, you can add a badge that says so.

How to get the badge

  1. Add Fine Print Guard to Chrome (free, no account).
  2. Open your own site and click the Fine Print Guard icon to see its grade.
  3. If it shows A or B, copy the matching code below into your site's footer or your terms page.

The fine print on the badge

  • The badge shows the grade your terms got when you checked. If you change your terms, check again and remove the badge if the grade drops.
  • The grade is automatic. It flags wording it recognises, like selling data, taking rights to user content, AI training and forced arbitration. It is not legal advice or an audit.
  • The badge is free. There is nothing to sign up for.
